Winter in Maine

Here is a pic of what the storm on Friday left on our deck! There is talk of ANOTHER storm heading our way this coming Thursday. We haven't had this much snow for many years.

Quilts to show off

Here are 2 quilts that I have done over the years. The first is a lap quilt. The pattern is called Crossing Paths. I really enjoyed making this quilt, so much that I made 3 of them. One for me and the other two I gave as gifts. It is a great quilt for making with scraps.
The other quilt is a wallhanging of Food Jars. When my grandaughter Kailee was little I had to pick her up when she came over and I would tell her what food was in each jar. As she got older she could tell me what each food was. I have this quilt hanging in my kitchen.

Snow Day

Well we're getting yet ANOTHER snowstorm. I am so ready for spring to get here. Tired of winter already.

Since I didn't go into work today I'm taking advantage of just relaxing and puttering around. Have some brownies in the oven, Mmmm, they smell so good. I got a load of laundry done and even managed to get some scrapbook pages done.

The Patriots lost!

Well the Jets beat the Patriots so no Superbowl for my Patriots this year. Perhaps next year will be better for them and they will go all the way. My son should be happy since he likes the Jets. Next week I will cheer for the Jets to beat the Steelers. GO JETS!

Welcome 2011

Back once again. Just can't seem to remember to come here and post. Our lives get so busy and so much gets put on the back burner. My goal for this year is to get caught up on so many craft UFO's that I have going. I have been trying to get my quilting/scrapbook room in order. Took out 3 bags of trash yesterday. Guess that's a start.
