Well it has been awhile since I have been in here to ramble.

The Patriots did not make it to the superbowl this year. Better luck next year. Now it's race season. Starting tonight with the truck race at Daytona.

We have a new grandson. Joshua Nolan was born Nov 1st, 2012.   Waylon is a good big brother.

2012 brought us a stray cat. Not sure where it is from or if it might have a home someplace. It is a beautiful big Maine coon cat. We first noticed it around October. I tried to trap it but it wouldn't go in the trap to eat. I feel so bad for it being outside in all the cold and snow we have had. Then, on Christmas day when we got back from Jeremy and Brianna's there was another cat. This one finally came to me after spending 2 weeks living under our back deck. To make a long story short, it is now ours. His name is Dexter {Lou picked out the name!}. The vet thinks he's about 18 months old which would put his birth somewhere around July 2011. He is such a good kitty. Our other cat Bear is "tolerating" him.

Lou and I are planning a trip to Texas to see Pam & Bob in March. It will be nice to get out of this cold weather.

2012 also brought us more camping time because we got a pop-up. It's really nice and so much better than sleeping on the ground. We made quite a few camping trips and even went to a few state campgrounds. It's nice not having to pack up so much in the truck. We can leave a lot of it in the camper.

Lou had to have knee surgery done in the summer. He went thru it with flying colors but got very bored staying at home and not doing much.

Well I think that pretty much catches up for now.

The Pats Lost!

Well the Patriots lost the superbowl! They had many chances of winning but blew it. Oh well...better luck next year. I still am a big fan and always will be.

Patriots Won!!

They are the AFC Champs and now it's on to the superbowl!! GO PATS!!

Another UFO top done

After almost 2 years I finally got the rows sewed together and the borders on this morning. It is done in my favorite color-Purples. The blocks were made from doing the "Nature Hike" trip from Quilting Together.

Patriots

The Patriots won yesterday against Denver! Woo-Hoo! Next they will play either Houston or Baltimore and if they win it's off to the Superbowl! GO PATS!!!!

New Kitchen Island

We finally got a kitchen island. It looks really good and is just the right size for the kitchen. It didn't take me long to fill up the storage. I found that I could not put my spices on the bottom shelves because our cat will knock them off.

Welcome 2012

Here it is another year. I hope 2012 will bring happiness, good health and the best of everything to my family and friends.

Here is our cat Bear under the Christmas tree. He loves to lay here and gets mad when we put the presents under it so he can't lay here. He pays us back by chewing on the presents.

Good Morning

Just stopping in. Not too much has been going on. Lou and I still have a little bit of a cold, mostly just a cough once in awhile. Glad we are slowly getting better.

October is here

Fall is here, the leaves are falling off the trees, especially the past couple of days with the strong winds we have had. Lou and I have both come down with nasty colds that we have been fighting for a week now. Will be glad when we are healthy again. Our energy is getting zapped.
Have the house decorated for Halloween with a few things. Also planning for Thanksgiving and picking up a few things each week.

Camping 2011

We went on our camping trip for 3 days. Tuesday it was rainy off and on but the steady rain held off until we got things set up and then it poured for 3 hours. We discovered that our new tent leaks! :(  The next 2 days that we were there the weather was beautiful. We went for a 4-wheeler ride on both days. Had a really great time and now looking forward to some more camping trips next summer.

This is a small waterfall under a bridge we went across while 4-wheeler. Very peaceful & serene here.

RIP Joey

On May 26 I had to put my Joey to sleep. For 2 weeks he was suffering from acute renal failure. The vet did everything possible to save him and make him better. It was very difficult for me as Joey was the first pet that was "mine". I miss him so much. He had such a good & fun personality. RIP Joey and we will see each other again sometime. Take care my friend and behave yourself. I love you my Jo-Jo
